Yoga for All

At Kure Beach Yoga we strive to make yoga accessible for all physically and financially.  Our classes are held in the clean & modern Kure Beach Community Center, located just one block from the Atlantic Ocean.  We’re also just a short drive or bike ride from Carolina Beach, NC.  Whether your an Island local or visiting our beautiful beaches on Pleasure Island, we’d love to have you drop in for a class.  All are welcome!  Class drop in rates are $10 and the ‘pay what you can’ option is always available for any class!

Pay What You Can Yoga

We realize that not everyone can afford to pay studio rates to drop-in on a class. At KB Yoga we offer 2 evening ‘pay what you can’ classes.  Monday at 6:30pm is All Levels Vinyasa with Kim.  Wednesday at 6:30pm is Reggae Flow Yoga with Carla. Both classes offer dynamic sequencing and inspiring music.  Our morning classes offer affordable drop-in rates ($10) and class pass options (10 punch card for $85). The ‘pay what you can’ option is always available for any class.  Come a little early to settle in. We have extra mats, lots of props (blocks, bolsters, etc.) to make your practice comfortable. We’re also just a short drive from Carolina Beach or Wilmington.  All are welcome & parking is free!

Our Teachers

Carla Ann Drummond ERYT

Carla is known for her laid back and inspirational style of teaching that encourages personal expression through energetic connection and creative movement.  She has over 25 years of yoga experience including certifications in Samdhaana Yoga and Yoga for Trauma (Yoga Warriors International).  Her classes are meant to hold space and inspire one to move in a way that is safe and also satisfying, whether that is taking a modification or reaching for more

depth in a posture.  She is the founder of Kure Beach Yoga. 

Paula Huffman BS, RN, ERYT

Paula is a Registered Nurse, Mindfulness Educator and Registered Yoga Teacher holding specialty certifications in Restorative Yoga, Mindful Yoga, Yin Yoga and Prenatal Yoga. Paula is an Adjunct Faculty Member with Department of Physical Medicine and Rehab at UNC Chapel Hill where she teaches Mindfulness Courses with the UNC Program on Integrative Medicine.

Kim Gargiulo RYT

Kim Gargiulo has been teaching yoga classes for over 12 years.  She enjoys teaching and practicing vinyasa yoga where each pose organically flows into the next, incorporating breath with movement.  Poses are held to increase strength and flexibility.  She has taught students of all ages from 80 years to three months old. Her yoga class is energizing, challenging and invigorating with the goal of leaving students feeling relaxed and centered - fitting for beginners as well as experienced practitioners.  The overarching goal of yoga, to Kim, is to unite the body, mind and spirit.  She hopes that each student will have the experience of unity at some point during her class.

Meg Young RYT 200

Meg has been teaching yoga since 2012 ever since she experienced first hand the tremendous benefits yoga offers and felt compelled to share with others.  Her classes are strong and build flexibility.  She believes everyone has their own individual needs when stepping onto their mat and provides a judgement free zone that allow for personal growth and expression.

Lidia Pawlowski - guest instructor

Lidia is originally from Poland and began practicing Yoga in 2011. She completed her RYT 200 in Samdhaana Yoga with Melody White along with additional certifications in Restorative Samdhaana Yoga with Melody White

Lidia’s classes are heartfelt, creative and lull you into a magical rhythm with your breath. She joins Kure Beach Yoga from her home in Charlotte to assist with retreats and special workshops.
